Time dating equals God lied?
Science in general, has used all sorts of time dating methods to claim how old everything is. And they claim that God lied upon saying that the whole universe was created some 6,000 years ago. Then upon proving it through the word of God, then they will claim God is a God of deceptions. Allowing things to date wrongly. So regardless of what you say, science is bent on calling God a liar. And therefore the words: fables and myths, soon follows. As well as the word being written by man because man needs some sort of God to obey, etc... Regardless of what the excuse is, it all leads to one goal. And that is the total denial of the existence of God. So with the discussion of the major excuses most atheists, evolutionists, old earthers etc.... will use, out of the way. I will explain why God did this the way it was done.
First we have to understand that God is the creator of time. The words that are the starting point of the bible demonstrate this: "In the beginning". The beginning of "what", requires a beginning? What was "not there" before. God lives in eternity. Eternity is not controlled by time. So the "beginning" is the creation of time as we know it.
Why would God make His creation have all different dates? Simple. God created time, so God controls time. It just like when a new invention, or discovery is made in science. Who is the one who becomes the explainer of what happened? Who is the one who becomes the expert on the issues about it? If you have a question, and want the most informative answer, who do you ask? The one who knows the most about it of course.
But, I still don't understand why everything has to date differenty if created 6,000 years ago. This is a two part answer. 1) Because God is the Creator of time, He shows His control over time through His creation. Just like the person who invents shows his knowledge about his invention. 2) God understood that we would only understand things that deal with time. Not eternity. And that with time, things age, and die. Or in the case with outer space, change form, cool off, explode, etc.... But to make a universe where it was all the same age (the way we understand it), but be in different stages of formation. Would only confuse us more. Questions like: How come this planet is a cold rock, and this planet is hot with errupting valcanos, but yet both date only 6,000 years? How would you understand the concept of time, if the correct age were not added to these object? How would you understand how long it would take for these objects, like stars, to form and explode, if God did not add the age required for the understanding of this?
So God making these objects with the appearance of age, without the passage of time. Was God allowing us to see His creation in a way more to our understanding. Because to set objects into space that were in different stages of formation without the correct age to go along with it. Would have been a deception. But now we observe the truth of age, without time.
So was God telling us a lie by doing this? By doing this, God was actually letting us see how the laws of everything that He did works. God hid nothing from us. For if we were not able to time date the age of what we can see, we would not understand the laws that were set forth by Him. So He becomes the teacher, and we become the student. And what we discover is how He created.
