OEC attacks YEC! As I surf the web, Looking for creation evidence. I find more and more sites that attack other creationists(YEC young earth creationists). I also find that they are OEC(old earth creationist). And I also find that their tactics are the same as the secular evolutionists. First off they discredit the person who is YEC by attacking them personally, Because when you run a web site such as I do your name is easy to obtain (but I found away to keep mine private). So they do a background check and start posting what they find so that all can read. And if they can't find anything bad, they'll make something up.   They say they are Christians and believe in God. But lets look at what they do from a religious stand point.   1) When you attack another person in the body of Christ you weaken the body. I sometimes go to a so called Christian forum that has a section were evolution and creation believing people can debate. I find that the OEC people are more rude than the evolutionists themselves. I've been called a liar, someone who thinks he's God, making God's word lie and a few words I won't mention here. All on a Christian forum! Then I found out that the person who runs it is OEC also. An could care less how the YEC's are treated. One Christian treating another badly. Sounds Godly don't it?   2) They omit the first chapter of the book of Genesis. They say because so much of it is repeating itself it cannot be true and should not be taken literally. And if you push them more you get the same answer the evolutionist use all the time. "The bible was written by man so it can't be true, also it has been written so many times that how can man keep it straight and true?" This in itself calls God a liar and makes it sound as if God was to weak to keep his word true. A God who created everything to weak to keep his word true? If he cannot do what they claim, then he would not be God!   3) Then they mix science and the word of God together(making God's word lie using man's word to replace what they do not like or what goes against the "science" that they believe in more than God himself, and then say: I'm Christian). If you really push them with this question: If science came up with enough theory-evidence to say more than half the bible was wrong, who would you be willing to believe, God or science? After a stutter or two they will tell you science of course.  It's funny that now science says the earth is 4-6 billion years old. Notice that this aligns with the 6 in 6 day creation. 6 days vs. 6 billion years? I can already hear them trying to prove that 6 days was actually 6 billion years in the word of God. Funny how they stop at the number 6. I remember when I was in school we were still in the 1 million year range. Now 4-6 billion? And they keep saying that they find older and older stuff all the time. How come the old stuff wasn't found first? Then they'll say because we did not have the proper dating equipment back then to date way back when(billions of years). So why not re-date the stuff that was already dated by the old equipment? LOL There would be a dating conflict and there dating technique would be shown flawed as it has always has been. So no this will never happen. Don't think they did not already do this secretly and figured they better not let their findings see light of day.   4) Then we have science as a religion. This is were you will get the biggest argument in the science community. But if science is not a religion, then why are scientists always comparing God's word with their science? Why is science even bothering with God's word if they believe God's word is not science? Saying that it is not science should end all arguments, but it does not because as long as their are people on this planet that believe god created this earth in six days, science will always poke their nose into it. Why do they do this? Because 6 day creation is a threat to them and their science. They can use all the excuses they want but this is what it all boils down to. I have even had more than one OEC person tell me that he does what he does(debating YEC) because he has to stop the lies! Yep, If you don't agree with them, you lie? Forcing their views and opinions on others, takes away our right to be free thinkers and to choose how we think, and to make our own conclusions. Note: I believe that the science dating of material, to see how old something is, is correct! But what science does not understand is: God can create all that he needs to produce his creation. Though what science tests may say it's billions of years old, God did not have to wait a billion years for it to form so he could use it for His creation. In other words: 6,000 years ago God created material that normally takes billions of years to form. This explains both of the evidence for an old  and young earth. But the young will always be denied, because to admit to it is to admit to God.   5) So what's up with those(OEC) who would call themselves Christian and attack you and God's word like this? Remember the first two commandments? 1) Thou shalt not have any God's "before" me. 2) Thou shalt not make any engraved images... Replacing God's word with science puts science "before" God. Which in turn makes science better than God which also makes it replace God. And because it would make people turn away from God, science itself becomes God. Notice how science is put before God in OEC belief. And then notice how the word "before" is used in the first commandment. Also because they(scientists) make themselves up as the smartest people in the world, they are saying that they are also smarter than God. How? Because they're so smart, they say there is no God. So they make themselves as idols because if you don't believe in God but believe what they are saying, their followers make them idols by believing what they say over what God's word says. And here's the scripture to back this up. 1 Corinthians 3:18-21,   18.  Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19.  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20.  And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21.  Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;   Now replace the word wise with the word science or scientist and see how it fits. For they claim to be wiser than God by saying there is no God. They cannot deny that they say this.   6) So what is OEC believing people up to? I believe that the OEC believing people fall into three categories. 1) The ones that know better but are deceived. 2) Some that want to hedge the fence between what is truth(God) and what is not(OEC). 3) The ones that want to put God on a shelf and pull him out when needed(science before God). Pull God out when you have no other choice. Want to find out if you fall into that category as an OEC? Answer this question: If you are among 3 of the world's smartest scientist for lunch, would you: a.) Insist on talking about God even though you know you will be mocked and laugh at for doing so. Or b.) Not even think to bring it up because you feel more at ease among scientist than you would be among 3 preachers? If you felt more inclined to answer b. Then you know where you stand when it comes to God. And you need to repent and turn back to God.     To sum this all up. You cannot mix anything with the word of God. Not science or opinions. God's word stands alone, for there is no one like God or his son Jesus. Remember, to say other wise is either putting yourself or what you believe before God and making an idol for idol worship. Idol worship does not have to be physical, you can worship thoughts and opinions also if you put them before God. Here's a link to why God and science will never mix.

The problem with OEC(old earth creationist). Let your heart be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5 The OECs believe that God created the earth, but it took a lot longer than is stated in the word of God. This is explained by science, not anything God has said or done. This poses several problems. 1) It means that the word of God is not true! How OECs explain this is: The word of God was written and rewritten by fallible men. So there is no longer the true word of God around. It's all been lost. Who determines what is true and not true in the word of God? Fallible man? Or a perfect God? 2) They mix the findings of science (fallible man) to explain their interpretation of how God created. In most instances the theory of evolution (fallible man) is used. Now are we not telling God how to do things? Putting the laws of man, on an unlimited all powerful God, bring God down to man level. Is God limited by such laws? 3) Then we have the Big Bang. The Big Bang theory (fallible man) tries to explain the creation by way of science. God spoke things into existence. Big Bang says that he did not and that it all happened in a scientific way (fallible man). Can someone explain the limitations of being able to speak things into existence? Remember, before you try to answer in a scientific manner, you have to be able to observe this power of creation to know it's limitations (if there is any). 4) In saying that God used evolution to create man, because he never said he created all things in complete form, is calling God an ape! God said he made "man" in his own image. God did not say: a child, an animal, a plant, a single cell organism etc... A full grown human man.  And if according to evolution, man was first an ape. Then would that not also make God an ape? And since evolution is speciation, how is God supposed to evolve into what we are now? I am not going to heaven to worship an ape! And those who believe OEC, what will be there when you get there? Truly, God is what He created, so what will it be? 5) OECs agree with science that the earth is old because of how far the stars are away from our planet, and how long it takes for light to travel that far. I can see were someone can be confused on this. But actually it very simple. When God created, he created the light before he created the object that produced the light. In Genesis 1:3-5 we see this. 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And then in Genesis 1:14-15 we see more light being created. We also see lights(more than one) in the firmament. Then the stars to produce this are added later. 14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And then in Genesis 1:16-19 we see the objects that produce light being made. And because these objects are producing light, God no longer has to produce light so he intern makes the light from these objects separate for day and night. The sun, moon and stars are made. But again the light was already there. 16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. So we see that God created the "light" before he created the objects that produced them. Which means the light from these objects did not have to travel for billions of years to reach earth. The light was already there. Where did the light come from? Because God is light he was able to create light from himself. Then you might ask: How did the light produced from him travel out to the stars that he created? Because God is the alpha and omega(beginning and end), everything he creates is also from the beginning to end. Which means: the light That God created from himself (the beginning or alpha) reached to the end(omega) of the universe instantly. Because the light from God is perfect light.... Then you might also ask how did earth cool down so quick so God could create all these other things to live? Here again the alpha and omega come in. He created which took heat(Alpha) and then cooled it(omega). When you apply what God is, alpha and omega, to all that science cannot explain. It all becomes simple. God can start(alpha) and finish(omega) something at the same time. Just like when he created man in his own image. He started and finished, and there was nothing left undone in his creation. No evolution needed here. psalm's 27:1 The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? psalm's 104:2 Who coverest [thyself] with light as [with] a garment: etc... How many times have we heard about someone who has died and the light they saw pierced their soul? It was so bright they could not look at it. But they could feel love and warmth from it. In our attempt, as man, trying to find truth in God's word. We often forget that God's word is truth. God's power is in God's word. So when we replace God's word and use the excuse that man's truth and ideas are better and more truthful, then we are denying the power of God through denying his word and the truth of it. For all the ideas that man would replace God's word with they cannot prove themselves as truth. Man's truths become theories. And those theories replace God's word. Does this replacement bring us closer to God? Or closer to man? And what do we prove by saying that man is smarter than God? Or should I say: What are we trying to prove by saying man is smarter than God? So lets replace His word with our words and ideas. 32. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33 To deny the truth is to also deny the power of God's word. You also deny God and the Son of God. And in turn he will deny you. 5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5 12. If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 2 Timothy 2:12 16. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:16 Reprobate mind, is a curse that God puts onto people who deny God and choose to believe this denial more than God himself or his word. To be of reprobate mind, is to not know the difference between what is right(the truth of God's word) or what is wrong(the ideas of man). Abominable: Something that causes intense disgust. To be a Reprobate: someone who pursues evil rather than good. The truth has been shown from God's word. What excuse is there for changing it? Will the excuse be a Godly one that God will accept? Or one that is made up of man's ideas that God will not accept? There will be no excuse for denying God, His word, the truth of His word, the power of His word or another part of it. And when the price is paid for doing so, was it really worth it? Do we really think that a person who denies these things will be able to enter Heaven?
