Creation in detail

Young earth creation with no Canopy? Yes.

In studying and doing research on trying to make the word of God mesh and answer more questions. I have come up with an alternative to the canopy theory. The reason the canopy theory is used is because of these verses:

Genesis 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

After doing some research on the atmosphere, and how hurricanes work. And also knowing that higher barometric pressures change the way the hydro-logic system works. I came to a conclusion that there is a great possibility that the water above was a reference to the atmosphere being able to hold more moisture due to higher barometric pressures on the whole earth that were present before the flood. Higher barometric pressure explains why there was no rain as stated in these verses:

Genesis 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Information on how the atmosphere works, and how barometric pressures can change the weather, can be read about here:

Atmosphere and life span increase:

So the comment in Genesis 1:6 just maybe the reference to the extra water held in the atmosphere due to the high barometric pressures. And it would fit more with what we understand about how our atmosphere works. Also more moisture held in the atmosphere would filter almost all of the sun's harmful rays. This would put a lot less stress on our bodies. Which translates into longer life spans which explains why people live so long before the flood. Genetic mutations from free radical attack on our bodies was basically non-existent.

Dinosaur explanation:

Also considering that most reptiles never quit growing. Extending their life span, like our life span was extended (100s of years). Would allow them to grow huge. And if they were able to give birth, while they were much larger, their offspring would start out bigger and grown even bigger than the parents did. That would explain the huge dinosaurs.

What caused the Flood:

Science has already figured out that a huge meteor hit the earth and changed the weather for a period of time. It is not hard to figure out that this same huge meteor impact also changed the barometric pressures on the whole earth which would cause the atmosphere to release the water held within it.

Ice age and the Flood:

Sudden change in the barometric pressures from high to low would draw the much colder air from high up in the atmosphere, down to ground level. These sub-zero temps would freeze what ever life was not prepared to live in such cold weather. And because there was so much water, the areas that this cold air was coming down quickly, which would be the areas closest to any meteor impact, would freeze water and any rain almost instantly. This would explain why a lot of animals are found frozen alive. Along with plant life.

Atmosphere, Flood, and Pangea:

Because the moisture (water) held in the atmosphere was not "originally" under the earth's crust. But was created in suspension in the atmosphere. When the flood waters went underground. the earth's crust had to expand to receive the "extra" water that was no longer held in our atmosphere. This would separate the huge land masses like we observe today. This page link on the Flood.  Will explain where the water can be found today, plus answer more in-depth questions about the flood.

Why Pangea, any other way, will not work:

With the current water under the crust and in our oceans. If the earth were to decrease in size just 10%. The water from underneath, plus the water bunched up from our oceans. Would cover all land masses except high mountains. And drown all land dwelling animals. What do you do with the water before the pangea? And where did the water come from to fill our oceans after Pangea? Did not our oceans become much bigger after the land masses spread apart? Got to fill the oceans with something, right? And if you say the same amount of water existed, then you also say that all land masses were covered with water until they expanded so that the land masses could appear. Which is it? And how do you solve the problems associated?

Snow ball theory and the water problem:

Because water on this planet, and how we got so much, is a major problem for science. Science has come up with a snow ball theory. The claim is that most of the water that ended up here was from several thousand snow balls hitting (everyday) our atmosphere, melting, and becoming life giving water for the planet. If the snow balls can put this much water on this planet, what happened to the other planets where they did not receive as much as we did? If the other planets had as much as earth, or near to it, this would confirm such a theory. But there is no such confirmation which means this was a theory thought up to solve a problem but has no real evidence or confirmation.

Snow ball theory and Global Warming:

If Snow balls from space can put this much water on our planet. Then why are we worried about Global Warming making the oceans rise? Won't the snow balls eventually drown us anyway? So you can see how stupid that theory is.

Note: More will be added as I put this together.
